I have noticed recently the trend of homeless to sit on the section of footpath nearest an intersection rather than, modestly and unassumingly, sitting against a wall.
Ok. You might think they're suffering, mentally ill - whatever - not really interested.
The thing is they are in the way - big time.
The most obvious problem is when people are crowded awaiting their light to cross - then there's the problem of a traffic accident collecting this guy - I mean - this isn't a quiet street, it's the corner of Pitt and Bathurst Sts in Sydney city.
Anyway - it's time we stopped this trend that the Homeless Guild has determined to be the most effective at harassing people for money! I have found at least five of these guys in the city and it's irritating, dangerous and does nothing to increase sympathy for their plight.

Phillip St Sydney
Ok. Has anyone else noticed that for the last 2-3 months at the intersection with Martin Place there are some council barriers set up around a traffic light pole and boy does it reek there!
I mean, obviously there is a raw sewerage problem but the council keeps sealing and resealing the area where the...well...shit mixed with water is seeping through onto the street.
Seriously, you walk up the stairs from Martin Place station at the Westpac building and the smell hits you in the face every morning, and it's still cold - if the council doesn't get their act together soon it will be summer and 'unpleasant' is just not going to describe how it's going to be.
I know it will be expensive to rip the street up but you can't keep piling more and more tar on top hoping it will go away - clearly there is a pipe that is broken and it eventually has to be fixed rather than wasting time and money on a band-aid solution why not use some of that money made from being the leading council in Australia in writing parking tickets to do some urgent repairs!

First Post!
Ok, so I'm finally giving this blogging thing a go. So many things I notice in everyday life that gets me going and hopefully some of you will find interesting while you trawl through the 99.99% of the internet (maybe this included) that is absolute rubbish. Anyway let's get started!
